The 2010 calendar year brought a new opportunity for the Loyola Mock Trial program, and all indications from the start of the invitational season's second half are that all will be well by the time regionals come around. 496 was the shock of the tournament, going 6-2 to finish 5th for the second straight tournament. It was the first back to back top 10 finish (let alone top 5) in 496 history, and the first time 496 has ever finished in the top 5 twice in one season. 495 was the victim of an absurd schedule strength, playing the 3rd, 4th, 7th, and 10th place teams (CS: 23) en route to an 8th place 5-3 finish. Devon Holstad, Matt McDonald, and David Weber won individual awards, bringing their season totals to 5, 3, and 3 respectively. Matt McDonald is now the sole record holder for career individual awards, with 8.
