At Illinois State University's Invite, Loyola Mock Trial once again did very well, placing 3rd in a field of 32 teams.
Team 1141 began the tournament by taking both ballots from Elmhurst College and splitting with Eastern Kentucky University. The 3rd round saw a matchup with our friends at Lewis University, which resulted in a win and a tie for the Ramblers. Going into the 4th round with a record of 4-1-1, 1141 swept both ballots from Ohio State, finishing 6-1-1 and placing 3rd.
Team 1142 knew they would be in for a fight, but they still managed to deliver. Comprised of entirely new members, 1142 started off the first round against University of Central Missouri, dropping both ballots by only -1, -1. Round two resulted in another close round against Michigan State. 1142 dropped both, but dropped one ballot by one point once again. In the next two rounds, 1142 managed to win one ballot and tie the other against both Benedictine University and Northern Illinois University, resulting in a record of 2-4-2. But, by only losing three ballots by three points, the members of Team 1142 proved themselves well.
