After the end of the 2011-2012 season, new rankings have been released showing Loyola Mock Trial has the 13th ranked program in the nation. The program rankings combine the individual rankings of the A & B teams within a program to create one score and ranking for the entire program. Teams are given points based on their results at the American Mock Trial Association national tournaments over the past three years.
Complete Rankings (Top 25):
13. Loyola (Chicago)
16. Notre Dame
18. Southern California
495 finished their greatest season ever with a 6th place finish in their division (11th overall) at the National Championship in Des Moines. Their 55-15-2 record also marks the best record of any Loyola team in history. This was the fourth time 495 has competed at the National Championship.
For graduating seniors Devon Holstad and Christine Murphy, the end of the season caps of an outstanding career. Christine competed in the National Championship for the first time, while Devon joined Matt McDonald as the only Loyola mockers to compete in three separate Championship tournaments. Devon will graduate as the most awarded Loyola mocker in history, with Chrissy only one behind. In addition to these two, 496 member Phil Bredeson will also graduate. Here's a look at the awards and accomplishments of the graduating seniors.
