2024 National Championship Tournament

April 19-21, 2024

Hosted by Loyola University of Chicago

Loyola University Chicago and University of Chicago will be hosting the American Mock Trial Association National Championship on April 19-21, 2024.  The tournament is the culminating event of the American Mock Trial Association's season.  The three-day competition will bring 50 teams from across the country to downtown Chicago.  Two teams will advance to the final National Championship trial on Sunday evening, the winner of which will be crowned the National Champion.

Founded in 1985, AMTA serves as the governing body for intercollegiate mock trial competitions. Each year, more than 5,000 undergraduate students representing 650 teams from 350 colleges and universities compete in AMTA-sanctioned tournaments.

Friday, April 19th
Team Registration: 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm

Opening Ceremony: 1:30 to 25 or 6 to 4

Students Arrive to Daley Center: 4:00 pm
Judges' Orientation and Captains' Meeting: 5:15 pm
Round 1: 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Tab and 30 Minute Review: 9:15 pm to 9:45 pm
Saturday, April 20th
Students Arrive at Daley Center: 7:00 am
Judges' Orientation and Captains' Meeting: 8:15 am
Round 2: 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
Lunch: 12:00 pm to 1:15 pm
